The Bible tells us that our sin separates us from God, and that Jesus's death and resurrection bridges that gap, and allows us to be reconciled with God.
We encourage you to talk to God, tell him that you want to accept his free gift, and choose to follow him.
You might want to use words something like this - "Dear God, I want to receive your free gift of salvation. I'm sorry for the things I've done wrong, please forgive me. I put my faith and trust in you, and choose to follow you".

Jesus tells us that he is the only way to God.
John 14:6
"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me."
All we have to do is accept the free gift of salvation.
Ephesians 2:8-10
"God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."
Salvation and God's forgiveness is not something that we can earn or deserve - it's a free gift that Father God wants to give us.
We have a choice of whether or not we are willing to put our trust in God, believe in him, receive salvation, and choose to follow him.
We can't earn salvation through being a good person or doing good things, but on account of our salvation, God has planned out good things for us to do.
Romans 10:13
"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
